Abstract

Integrating Biblical teachings in Christian Religious Education (CRE) is a critical approach to nurturing Christ-centered character among high school students. This study aims to explore how Biblical principles can be effectively incorporated into CRE curricula to foster spiritual growth, moral integrity, and ethical decision-making. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, this paper employs a literature review and library research to analyze relevant scholarly sources, theological perspectives, and educational theories. Key findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive and contextually relevant CRE program that not only imparts theological knowledge but also cultivates deep personal faith and Christ-like virtues such as love, humility, compassion, and integrity. The integration of Biblical narratives, parables, and moral lessons within the educational framework is shown to significantly influence students' character formation, aligning their values with Christian doctrines. Moreover, this study emphasizes the role of educators in modeling Christ-like behavior and creating a supportive, faith-based learning environment. The research concludes that a purposeful, scripture-centered approach in CRE can profoundly impact students' spiritual and moral development, preparing them to navigate contemporary ethical challenges with a Christ-centered perspective. Future studies are encouraged to assess the long-term impacts of this integrative approach on student behavior and community engagement.
